Euphemia Townsend Smyser may have said, "Who will notice when it's on the bed?" when she laid out her grandmother's flower garden quilt. It is about 8" shorter on one side. I wonder at what point she realized that her quilt wasn't going to be square.
The flowers are carefully made, "fussy-cutting" the hexagons to highlight motifs from the fabrics. However, the flowers that are 5.5" on the left are about 4.75" on the right. But, who will notice on the bed?
